God Met Us in Cuba

First and foremost, we want to thank all of you for all the prayers and financial support that you provided for our team. Your support impacted a community that needed the love and encouragement through God's word. Your obedience and generosity inspired us to be used by the Holy Spirt through evangelism, small groups, home groups, and prayer. We were motived to share the Gospel with our brothers and sisters of Cuba. It was our team mission to remind our Cuban family that they too were called for the Great Commission.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Churches and Pastors

We were honored to be welcomed by Iglesia Baustista de Parraga and three other home churches in the areas of Mantilla, Comodoro Guinera, Poey, and 5ta Canaria. Within these churches and communities we partnered with Pastor Oniet and wife Nadui, Pastor Howard and wife Oslaida, Pastor Taido and wife Judith, Pastor Juan Ramon and wife Rayza. Although each congregation served a different demographic, all pastors and church members shared the same motivation of sharing the truth of the Gospel with rigor and boldness.

Leaders

We are grateful to our spiritual leaders who led us into Cuba. Ron and Star Nelson the founders of Sowing Seeds of Joy and Roberto and Mayra Cepeda who have established strong relationships amongst the people of Cuba for many years. Together our leaders collaborated and trained with godly wisdom. Because of their love for the Lord and people and discernment, as a team, we were used in a mighty way to impact the kingdom of God and witnessed a wave of the Holy Spirit throughout the Cuban community.

We witnessed fathers and sons accepting the gift of salvation, revival within the hearts of believers who had refrained from connecting to a church home, healing through prayer and small group interactions, pastors renewed, lives changed, including our own.

What we Learned

Our experience in Cuba has changed our lives for the better. Our time there was challenging and at times uncomfortable, but God manifested His glory through it all. Our time in Cuba reminded us that through it all God is in control, and He doesn't need us to accomplish His plans. Therefore, it is a privilege and an honor to be appointed and assigned to do HIS work.

In addition, through our interactions of evangelism we were reminded of the importance of following up, and making genuine connections with new believers and all parts of the body of Christ. Our movement challenged us to reflect on the importance of spiritual leadership, and aligning ourselves with the fruits of the Spirit. Lastly, we grew in experiencing the reverent fear of God on a deeper level, and acknowledging that fearing the Father is a dependent surrender that exudes freedom.

We are grateful!!!!
