Perseverance

Let the testing begin, every day our faith is tested by someone, or the evil one. However, James tells us to persevere on times of trouble and disappointment. The world can be a tempting and ungodly place, seeking to draw us closer to sin than God. Arousing our desires in an attempt to blot out the divine calling on our lives. Saints do you trust God to keep His promise or are you guilt ridden by sinful misteps? Brothers and sisters, "The race is not given to the swift or the battle to the strong..." Ecclesiastes 9:11(b).

Think of it this way, in the same way the victory wreath was given to winning athletes in biblical times, God blesses those of us who patiently endure adversity for his sake, with a crown that will endure, and never fade away! (1 Corinthians 9:25).

God’s crown of life means living with him forever, not getting glory and honor on earth. You see the world will reward us for a time, but even the great champions of our time are often ridiculed when their performance is not superior every time. I thank GOD that to be in His winner’s circle, we need only keep running toward Him. As we do, we will grow in our relationship with Him, and our faith will grow, despite the overwhelming pressures of this world. All of God’s promises are yea and Amen! The Word of God.

"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethen, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." James 1:1-3
