Trust that God hears all prayers, but the question is are we praying from the depth of our spirit? Are our prayers based on a whim or are they grounded in a belief that God is an on time God? Jesus tells us to persist in prayer. Brothers and sisters we need the persistent prayers of a child seen at Christmas believing beyond everything that the gift will be under the tree!
Saints of God too often we give up on our prayers after a few halfhearted efforts to pray, concluding that God doesn’t listen. When in fact He is listening He just wonders why we don't believe our own prayers are possible. A child's prayer is never small, their prayers are BIG and, seemly impossible to we adults, yet they believe. We once prayed similar prayers until we lost our hope, because we lost our innocence and trust that persistence (CRIES) brings about good results.
Saints our relationship with God is rooted in communicating with God daily! It is here where our faith is strengthen, and we recognize that our prayers must be grounded in FAITH that God never fails, and must be FOCUSED on the word of God, as Jesus said in Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." And finally our prayers must include persistent FOLLOW-THROUGH, repeated prayers asking God for a need to be met is not annoying to God, it is effective conversation as a child does to their parent. Jesus has assured us that we will be rewarded as we develop a deep relationship with God.
Let's never give up in our efforts to seek God. For when we abide in Him, and He abides in us we can ask with a strong belief, that God will give us more knowledge, patience, wisdom, love, and understanding. It is God’s desire to give us these things. Therefore, we must never treat God like a cosmic errand boy, when He desires a relationship based on trust and faith. Saints the more we talk to God the easier it will be to recognize His voice when He speaks to our hearts. For then He will do as Jesus said in the eighth verse of our text: "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." What is your request, Jesus is waiting...The Word of God.
Matthew 7:7 NIV
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
