Ezekiel 37:3 – "He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'Sovereign Lord, you alone know.'"

There are moments in life when we feel surrounded by nothing but brokenness—shattered dreams, unresolved conflict, forgotten callings, and spiritual drought. It’s in these dry places
we quietly wonder: Can anything live again?
The prophet Ezekiel found himself standing in a valley filled with dry bones when God asked him a strange question: “Can these bones live?” God wasn’t looking for an educated guess. He was offering Ezekiel—and us—an invitation. An invitation to witness His resurrection power.
Ezekiel didn’t argue with what he saw. He didn’t reason with logic. He simply replied, “Sovereign Lord, You alone know.” It was a statement of surrender, a declaration that God’s possibilities far outweigh our impossibilities.
And that’s where restoration begins—not in our ability to fix what’s broken, but in our willingness to believe that God still breathes life into dead things.
Whether it's:
a passion for God that has cooled,
relationships that have crumbled,
prayers that feel forgotten,
a bank account that's gone empty
or dreams buried by disappointment...
...God is still asking, “Can these bones live?”
And His answer? Always: Yes.
He’s the God who restores, revives, reconciles, and redeems. All He needs is our "yes," our trust, and our willingness to speak life over dry places.
So whatever valley you’re in—don’t pack up and settle. Lift your eyes. Listen for the sound of rattling bones. Because God is still bringing things back to life.
